Boil Water Notice

⚠️ EMERGENCY NOTICE — BOIL WATER NOTICE IN EFFECT
Seis Lagos Utility District — All Customers
Issued: Friday, October 2, 2026

At approximately 2:10 a.m. on Friday, October 2, a water main break occurred in the Seis Lagos water system. Because of this, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required Seis Lagos Utility District, Public Water System ID [TX-0430057], to notify all customers to boil their water before consumption. This includes drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing hands and face.

Children, seniors, and people with weakened immune systems are especially vulnerable to harmful bacteria. All customers should follow these directions.

What to do

  • To kill all harmful bacteria and other microbes, bring water used for drinking, cooking, and making ice to a vigorous rolling boil for two (2) minutes, then let it cool before use.
  • Instead of boiling, you may use bottled water or water from another safe source.
  • Throw out any ice made since the break, and turn off automatic ice makers until the notice is lifted.
  • Use boiled or bottled water to prepare baby formula and to wash fruits and vegetables.
  • Water from the tap is fine for bathing, but don’t swallow it. Supervise small children in the bath.

What happens next
Crews are working to repair the break. After repairs, the District will collect water samples for laboratory testing. When it is no longer necessary to boil your water, the District will notify customers that the water is safe to drink. That notice will be issued the same way as this one.
