Water Leak Detection
The District recently had Sonny from In Depth Utility Solutions out to demonstrate the Sewerin AquaTest T10 acoustic water leak locator. The electro-acoustic water leak detection test rod has innovative technology for the prelocation of leaks in water pipe networks.
Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
Recently, in cooperation with the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD), the District had a new grinder installed as a replacement for the old outdated and inoperable grinder. This new Huber MicroStrainer ROTOMAT Ro9 transports screenings through a closed and inclined pipe. The screw conveyor dewaters and compacts them without any odor annoyance prior to discharging them into the trashcan.
WWTP Fence Line
While enjoying your walks or cycling through Seis Lagos near the WWTP, you may have noticed trees missing along the fence line, making the WWTP viewable to all passersby. The District is working with Fannin Tree Farm to provide the proper replacement tree coverage to hide the exposed areas of the WWTP from view. The trees are in place and with time, they will grow to cover the treatment plant from the road.
