Boil Water Notice for Seis Lagos Utility District

08/23/2023

Due to a water main repair, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Seis Lagos Utility District / TX0430057 to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Dewane Clarke, Superintendent at Seis Lagos Utility Water District, 2730 Country Club Road, Suite E-1, Lucas, TX 75002, 972-442-6875.

Aviso de Hervir Agua para el Distrito de Utilidad Seis Lagos

23/08/2023

Advisory Message:
The District is currently repairing a water main leak. Residents may experience a loss of water pressure during the repair.  Please reduce outdoor water use by refraining from filling pools, irrigating yards, and/or using large amounts of water until further notice so our system can replenish.  We will advise when the repair is complete and normal water usage can resume.  Thank you for your cooperation.

As of October 1, 2021, the United States Postal Service (USPS) made changes to their delivery standards for certain First-Class Mail items.  These changes in delivery standards could add several more days for receipt or delivery of correspondence.

For more information about the changes,  you can review the USPS fact sheet here.

We ask that you plan for this potential slow down in delivery by sending your monthly payments to the District two to three days sooner than previous months
to avoid incurring late fees.

Please consider using the secure Customer Web Portal where you can pay your monthly bill and set up recurring payments through your bank account or credit/debit card.  You can also have your monthly statement emailed to you for faster payment.

Paperless e-bills and e-payments make a positive impact on the environment by reducing our dependency on paper.
