As of October 1, 2021, the United States Postal Service (USPS) made changes to their delivery standards for certain First-Class Mail items. These changes in delivery standards could add several more days for receipt or delivery of correspondence.
For more information about the changes, you can review the USPS fact sheet here.
We ask that you plan for this potential slow down in delivery by sending your monthly payments to the District two to three days sooner than previous months to avoid incurring late fees.
Please consider using the secure Customer Web Portal where you can pay your monthly bill and set up recurring payments through your bank account or credit/debit card. You can also have your monthly statement emailed to you for faster payment.
Paperless e-bills and e-payments make a positive impact on the environment by reducing our dependency on paper.
